On March 11, the West Fargo School Board approved hiring more than 30 full-time staff across the district. A dean of students, library media specialist and school counselor, among many other positions, will be hired for Meadowlark Elementary.
While the district hired 10 teachers and a principal for Meadowlark in February 2023, this newest elementary school has been under construction in the Rocking Horse Farm neighborhood in Fargo since the spring of 2022. It was originally scheduled to be finished in time for the 2023-2024 school year, but labor shortages, supply issues and the overall construction climate created a tight and challenging deadline.
