On Monday, April 25, the West Fargo School Board selected Meadowlark Elementary School as the name for the new elementary school at Rocking Horse Farm. The western meadowlark is the state bird of North Dakota.

Designed for the West Fargo Public School District by YHR Partners, it will be located on 10 acres of land just south of Rocking Horse Park directly adjacent to Veterans Boulevard and 51st Avenue South. Construction is expected to start in April 2022 with a completion target of August 2023.
